Catherine Cowie, PG Dip (Counselling), BSc, MBACPPerson-Centred Psychotherapeutic Counselling in South Ayrshire.
As a visitor to this site, it's likely you're searching for support from a therapeutic counsellor for yourself or someone you care about. Perhaps you already understand a bit about this type of helping - why people come to a counsellor, for instance, or in what ways counselling can make a difference. But if you don't know much about it, your choice to visit this site is a good start.
Why do people choose counselling?
Wide-ranging levels of 'dis-ease' bring people to counselling, from indistinct but persistent feelings that "something" in life is out of alignment, through to deep seated, debilitating distress. Clients who have chosen me as their counsellor have discovered during therapy their need for:
I'm passionately committed to offering understanding within a genuine, non-judgmental and confidential relationship in a physically and emotionally safe 'space.' Clients sometimes work with me on an open-ended basis, and sometimes for an agreed number of sessions, but always with total control of the direction and duration of their therapy.
My base is in Alloway, close to the A77 Prestwick/Ayr By-Pass. So I'm easily reached by people living in Troon, Prestwick, Ayr, Alloway, Coylton, Dalrymple, Maybole, Maidens, Turnberry, Girvan, Balantrae and Stranraer.
You're warmly invited to browse this website, and to phone , text or email if you would like to to take the next step - exploring whether a 'therapy relationship' with me might help.
